RIP Lee Alexander McQueen.
I’m still in complete shock. Today fashion lovers around the world have suffered a huge loss with the death of Lee McQueen. Alexander was 40 years old; it’s rumoured that he committed suicide. His fashion and runways shows were unfreakinbelievable and fashion just won’t be the same. Gone too soon.
‘Golden’ Fashion
Some of my likey’s and no-likey’s from this year’s Golden Globes. I feel like it never rains/is crappy weather whenever it’s one of these big flashy events occur. The umbrellas add a different look to things….Enjoy it!!!
For some reason, I love this pic of Mariah and her hubby Nick Cannon, even though he doesn’t look so happy.
Although Jennifer Aniston looks good in the dress, does she reallllly need to try this hard? Me no likey.
Fellow Twitard, Taylor Lautner trying to strike a pose on the red carpet. The suit isn’t doing it for me though….no like.
Cute couple Seal and Heidi Klum looking shnazz, showing off their chiclets. Not sure about the colour of the dress for Mrs. Seal, but overall they look pretty fabulous.
Actress Jennifer Morrison (‘House’) looks more like a shag rug instead of looking like she’s wearing a designer gown. Definitely no like.
Not sure if this Alexander McQueen dress is right for Cameron Diaz….Great colour though.
Julianne Moore is looking kinda odd in this Balenciaga outfit. Not a fan.
I must say Mo’Nique looked reallllly nice with her simple yet glamourous hair and make-up. Great choice on the Reem Acra gown.
Wow, Halle Berry….need we say more???
‘Precious’ star Gabourey Sidibe looks great in this Kevan Hall dress.
Tina Fey, I heart you a lot but this Zac Posen dress was not a good choice; very Liz Lemon of her. Me no likey. : (
‘Mad Men’ star Elizabeth Moss doesn’t look so good in this ensemble. Maybe if there wasn’t the loose straps? I dunno but I’m not a fan…
Holy Heidi Klum!!
I swear, only Heidi Klum can look this ridiculously good after only what, 3 months after having a baby?? Rockin’ it at the Victoria’s Secret 2009 Runway show/extravaganza. We all want to know your secret Heidi…seriously.

Mad Men - finally a permanent resident of Draperland….
Louis Vuitton Women’s Spring/Summer 2010 – when did ‘drag queen’ look good again??

D & G Men’s Spring/Summer 2009 – love the material that looks like one of my older relatives’ couches…circa 20 years ago. Nice shades though.

Jean Paul Gaultier Women’s Spring/Summer 2010 – cone-bra cups are the new shoulder pads!!

Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 show in Paris – ‘green’ with envy.
As a fashion lover, I’m always keeping up with the up and up. With Paris Fashion Week currently taking place, looks like Chanel has taken the spotlight, yet again. With going ‘green’ being the new thing, you couldn’t expect less from the leaders of the fashion world. For Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection, Karl Lagerfeld still managed to turn his creations for Chanel into beautiful clothing, by utilizing more environmentally friendly materials. Love it. ‘Glamour’ magazine features plus-sized models
Thank you ‘Glamour’!! I hope this is a start to more fashion magazines and the fashion world in general, in embracing women of all sizes – not just the rail thin models that magazines, music videos, other ads and of course, runway shows, flaunt incessantly. Of course this isn’t new or groundbreaking, but it’s nice to see that a reputable publication such as ‘Glamour’ has taken the initiative to include plus-sized models in their pages, and embracing diversity in beauty. It’s a good way to create a niche for ‘Glamour’, but I hope it leads to other publications/media outlets in showing diversity – and I’m not just talking about different colours of skin. More and more fashion!!
With Milan Fashion Week ending, and Paris Fashion Week underway, sooooo much fashion, so little time. Sounds like next spring/summer will be filled with more heels, short-shorts, see-through bags; bright colours and pointy-cup bras! Check out some links to see and read more: Hilary Alexander for the Telegraph; fabsugar.com and guardian.co.uk.
Out of many of the pics and highlights I’ve seen, I am definitely jonesin’ for a pair of Jimmy Choo flashing platforms….

Anna Wintour @ Fashion’s Night Out

There aren’t many people that I wish to have their job…but Anna Wintour is definitely one of them. But that’s another story…
From what I’ve read, doesn’t sound like the event was much of a success–as the majority of people went to see faces instead of do the stimulus-shopping that this ‘charity’ event was intended for. And she was only there for approximately 20 minutes? Besides signing tees which were only for 50 people who had tickets in advance, she could have done more ‘fashion’ related things instead of a cheesy move like autographing tees – yippee! Where’s the fashion in that?
A snippet on Fashion Night Out here.
Exactly what I’ve been talking about.

I’ve been saying this for a while now. Bow-ties have been underestimated for too long now. They definitely bring out character and personality. More guys should rock them….just not to the point of overkill.
Instead of buying the fall issue of Vogue or In Style…
